Pescara Highlights

This is Sant on one of the beautiful streets in Pescara.  Yes, that is a beautiful tile street - outside.  Sant's expression is "I can't believe it - I'm in Italy!"

Our first few days in Italy were surreal.  Maybe it was jetlag, maybe it was exhaustion, maybe it was being totally immersed in a different culture.  Everywhere we went we starred, pointed, took pictures and giggled.  Ok - maybe we did that all three weeks.

Pescara is a relatively modern city.  Much of the city was destroyed in WWII - only a small section is original.
Here we are outside the museum - located in the original section - on our way to dinner.

We had pizza at a table outside in this quaint section.

This is the view from our table looking inside the restaurant.

The pizza was amazing!!!

Our apartment was perfetto.

This is a picture with Fabio's wonderful parents, who live in the apartment next to us - I love the way it captures everyone's expressions.
