Porto San Giorgio and Sant'Elpidio Sights

Beautiful smooth rocks covered the beach by our bungalow.

 Swimming in the Adriatic Sea

Seeing the Sights
Between pranzo and cena the family took us to see some of the beautiful countryside ...
... from the tops of the hills to the beautiful seashore ...

I have to say that riding in the backseat of Paola's car made me thankful that I was still wearing my seasick patch.  I think that she could rival any NASCAR driver ... just say'in ...

Fermo Cathedral - a magnificent 13th century cathedral,
which rises in the most elevated part of the town.

Fermo Cathedral has the most magnificent view of the rolling landscape and the Adriatic Sea.

 Spectacular View

 Beautiful Beach & Beautiful Familia

After the beach we head back to Michela's house and preparations begin for cena.
This is no small feat and she does it with such ease!!!

The table that normally seats six transforms into a banquet table - amazing.  Where do you get this kind of furniture ... it was so sturdy and well made!!!

More fantastic smells emerged from the kitchen ... and soon we sat down to a feast.

This was the main dish - spaghetti with mussel and clam sauce.
It is hard to see the clams - they were small and very tender - cooked to perfection.

There were also dishes of sardines with lemon, olive oil and parsley; potato and octopus; and snail with peas.  I wish I had more pictures of the food - we must  have been too busy stuffing our faces.

Santo sharing family photos - the whole family gathers around!
